Has anyone used Geoblue to cover visits to the ship doctor?

My wife utilized the ship’s medical services due to flu like sypthoms. Filed a claim with GeoBlue and they paid without any issues. She did provide all the paperwork they required on their claim form. We’re using them again on a multi-trip policy.

Does she remember what type of paperwork or information she needed?

Also, do you remember which plan she purchased?

the geo blue looks to be good for one yr is that correct we just need med and evacuation coverage credit card covers everything else. would be great if others would put in some input from experience tks

The multi-trip plan covers one year. I also purchased a Medjet policy. Probably overkill, but my research suggest it’s not and it gives me peace of mind.

You are right that GeoBlue says nothing about coverage on the ship.  My agent, unable to find the same info you are looking for called them today. She was told that while you are on the ship, you are "out of network," and you pay the bill, and then submit a claim for which you will be totally reimbursed. When you are on land, you are in network and completely covered. The medical facility will complete the claim.

You are completely covered if you are outside of the U.S. However, if you go to one of the providers in the GeoBlue network, they will do the paperwork and will not bill you. Otherwise, you would pay the provider and file a claim for reimbursement.
Not all providers “on land” are in the network.  When you have an account with GeoBlue, you can look up their provider network by city and country.  For example, here are some hospitals in Paris.

You can also get providers by specialty.

If you get a toothache in Paris:

Thanks for the info on GeoBlue.  I just bought a plan and the link to login that emailed always shows  that I have timed out for my password.

Do you have an opinion on whether it is better use the website or a mobile app for GeoBlue?

Thanks.

I just tried signing in on both the web site and the app.  I use an iPad, but didn’t have any problem.
When I had questions, I wrote to customerservice@geo-blue.com

They got back to me within a day or two.
