iamchrisstone Posted February 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2018 On my last cruise I signed up for several price alert websites. I ended up with an extra $460 OBC because I was calling in constantly - basically everytime I got an alert about a price drop. I don't recall any of the websites because I didn't save them. Could you awesome people help me out with providing a list of websites that text/email you when there is a price drop on a Carnival cruise? Thanks! I am fairly new here on the boards, but I believe that we are not allowed to state specific websites/places here. I personally use an app on my iPhone. You can plug in your cruise, join the roll call, read tips and reviews of the ship, and there is a price alert section.
13cheermom Posted February 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2018 I also use an app called shipmate that does all of the above. It's especially great when booking a cruise to show all deck plans for all of the ships of any cruise line.
SLCfirsttimer Posted February 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Cruise critic has a price drop tool as well, go to the home page and there should be a link to it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

WAIT, I though Carnival always adjusted your balance based on the current price, meaning if the price goes down before you sale, your balance will be credited? Crazy4Camping Posted February 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Yes, that's what was implied when I booked our cruise, they called it a "price guarantee" or something like that.....do I have to do the legwork to get the lower price??? DHnDWplus2 Posted February 18, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Yes, you have to do the legwork and request the adjustment Sent from my SM-G930P using Forums mobile app

No, it falls on you to check for price drops. Carnival isn't going to watch everyone's booking then automatically apply price drops for them. Star24K Posted February 18, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 18, 2018 I use cruiseline dot com that will email me with price drops or increases.
mcarney Posted February 19, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Unless you booked the lowest category on the lowest deck and only 2 persons with no special VIFP offers, none of these price checker websites are going to help ... your best way to check for price drops is by doing a mock booking ... Crazy4Camping Posted September 6, 2018 #16 Share Posted September 6, 2018 My understanding is, though, that if you received any OBC when you booked, then you will lose that if you take a price drop so make sure it's worth it!
