scubamommy! Posted February 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Can anyone that has stayed in Ph-1 on Ecstacy answer these questions please 1- Does the King Size Bed come apart like all the other beds on the ship to make 2 singles? 2- Is the balcony private? I have seen pics and it looks like it is, but the pictures only cover certain angles and some threads mention that it is not private ( but they are old threads) . 3- Are there any special perks ( besides the obvious accommodations) that come with this room? Thank you

Thank you We stayed in it but it was a while ago.... I cant remember if the bed separated or not. The Balcony is pretty private, there is a sun deck above however.... The only other perk I remember is getting escorted to your room. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Thank you It's the best cabin ever! 1. Sorry, not sure. We used it as a king, but it seems to make sense that it was really two twins. 2. The balcony is private in the sense that only PH-1 has access to it, but it is in view of much of the Lido. It's great that you don't have to hunt for chairs on the Lido, yet you're still part of the fun. 3. As far as we were aware there were just the regular suite perks. My favorite suites at sea are in The Haven on NCL, but this is the best suite I've seen on Carnival.
nutterbutter818 Posted February 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2018 We used the bed as a king too. I didn't like the balcony being right over lido because there was no privacy and you could hear music from lido. It was still nice and the music wasn't as much of an issue and you might expect. If you are sensitive to noise, it may not be a good idea for you. If it came up again, I would do it even though there are no perks other than being escorted. scubamommy! Posted February 20, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Thanks for the answers everyone, hopefully someone will chime in who has used that bed as two twins. We are only on it for a short 5 night cruise and I'm in there with my mom, so don't need privacy on the balcony, I think it sounds fun. Its for my 50th so we thought we would splurge. We have 26 other gals going in other cabins so I thought the room would be a good gathering place ( for short periods of time) , as well as give my mom the privacy she needs when the others come knocking on the door. LOL Shame there isn't more perks included!
hard_eight Posted February 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Also, hope there are no runners on your cruise. You're directly below the jogging track! Other than that, we loved the suite on the Fascination.
Tiger0613 Posted February 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 20, 2018 People on the Lido deck can see into the darkened windows when the blinds are open. I had read a post from someone saying that, so I checked for myself on either the Inspiration or the Fantasy(can't remember). I saw someone looking out the window. I couldn't see their face, but I could tell that the person was white and was wearing shorts and a light-colored shirt.

Poseidon Patty Posted February 21, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 21, 2018 It’s a king, only, and cannot be separated. We had both PH 1 & 2, for a girls’ trip, and they brought in cots for us, because the kings could not be separated into twins. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Oh thank you, I knew someone would know. Not the answer I was hoping for, but good to know what to expect. Since I'm traveling with my mom, I guess I'll give her the bed and I will take the cot. Or does the couch convert? Not sure what would be better? Sleeping on a cot or the couch? Are the cot mattresses ok?

I saw this video on You Tube and this is what convinced us to book! LOL I normally wouldn't splurge like this, but you only turn 50 once, right! Carpe Diem!
