pjcoach Posted February 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2018 My family and I rented cabana 8 last week. Very happy we rented a cabana, we loved it along with the amenities that came with it (snorkel gear, snacks and beverages). When looking at the cabana map it appears that the cabanas and villas are much more spread out and farther from the tender port, they are not. I would suggest cabana 8 or higher if you want to be on a somewhat quieter portion of the beach. Happy to answer any questions. CuplACruzrs Posted March 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2018 We have one rented for our 4/1/18 cruise on the Sunshine. We have 6 adults and many kids with food allergies so they definitely won't be eating and we plan to bring water from the ship for them. We know the kids won't be using the cabana but might run up to ask questions, get their towel, store their gear, etc. Do you think we would have any problem with this? We're not trying to pull a fast one and are happy to pay for what we use. Also, I have a tendency to get sunstroke but love my cruises! Does the a/c really help? I'm not naive enough to think it's going to be cool in there but can you actually tell a difference?
CruiserBruce Posted March 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2018 The a/c does very little. Almost nothing. To avoid all the issues (particularly as you don't give a total number of people involved), why not just book a Villa, rather than a cabana? The whole a/c issue, shade, etc, will be better in the Villas.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2018 CruiserBruce has given you excellent advice. I would also recommend the Villa. Keith
jwjax Posted March 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2018 Do bar waiters come to the cabanas? Are the snacks provided replenished, or a one time deal? How convenient is the food service area? It appears that after Cabana 10 or so, it is a major trek?
