ithaca gal Posted February 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2018 With changes in Westerdam Crows nest is there anywhere on ship that has afternoon trivia anymore? Sent from my iPad using Forums I haven't been on the Westerdam recently but I'm guessing they will find a quiet place both in the afternoon and evenings. ellieanne Posted February 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2018 On the Zuiderdam in December/January, daily trivia was held either at the Sea View Bar, the Gallery Bar, or in the case of evening/music trivia, in the BB Kings Lounge or the Billboard Onboard Lounge. AncientWanderer Posted February 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2018 We were on the Westerdam last October. There is a kind of "meeting room" up in the Crow's Nest where they have some informational talks -- just a room with a speaker's podium and a lot of chairs. I recall them having some trivia there. We never participated, so not sure how teams came together with the rows of seats. But there was trivia onboard.

There were no prizes, no teams per se. Pretty boring, actually.
Quartzsite Cruiser Posted February 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2018 We are on the Westerdam now. On sea days trivia is at 1:30 pm and on port days it is later and varies. Trivia is now held in Billboard On Board.

Pretty boring, actually. I believe this is what they had on Westerdam as well. It didn't look very lively.
ellieanne Posted February 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 27, 2018 I love trivia on the ships, and like to attend as often as possible, but the schedule of never having it at the same time or in the same place day to day makes it hard to plan for it. and holding it at 7pm meant I either had to rush though my early seating dinner time or skip dinner entirely. I know there is never going to be a great time for everyone, but 7pm eliminates about half the ship, or at least as many as have early dinner times. And moving it from room to room meant that people who found it one day might not the next.

Then passengers from both dinner seatings can make it. I love going to trivia and hate that it sometimes clashes with other things I might want to do onboard. (I realize how difficult it is to schedule everything, just saying!)
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 28, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 28, 2018 When we were on the Westerdam a couple of years, trivia was at 5 -- our dinner time was 5:30 -- couldn't make it. The second session of trivia was 7 -- we would have had to skip dessert and gulp down our wine -- no way.
