Smokeybooks Posted March 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Hello, I noticed that aerosol cans are not allowed on board. Does this include the spray sunscreen? Thanks in advance for your help.
DANCING GRANDMOMMY Posted March 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Where did you get your information that aerosol cans can not be brought on board? Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app
champagne123 Posted March 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2018 I don't know where you read that, but I bring hair spray, shaving cream, bathroom spray....etc. Have never had a problem.
crooooze Posted March 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Interesting - it says that at the bottom of this page: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4090/~/carnival-corporation-prohibited-items “Compressed gas tanks, bottles, cylinders including dive tanks, propane tanks and aerosol cans” Kind of ambiguous, since a can of shave cream or spray-on sunscreen doesn’t quite fit the same category as dive tanks and propane tanks... We have never had an issue bringing aerosol toiletries on-board. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
RHilla619 Posted March 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Have never had a problem trying to bring aerosol canned sun screen, or hair products on board. Just leave your propane tank at home lol.
Smokeybooks Posted March 13, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Thanks everyone. I thought that was kind of an odd place to throw aerosol cans in. I was just making sure our sunscreen wasn't going to get confiscated so we all don't turn into lobsters lol.
Qchell Posted March 13, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Always bring spray on sunscreen and dry oil - in my carry-on and through security and never had it questioned. My unopened bottle of wine and sealed case of soda pop have been heavily inspected :) but no notice of the sunscreen.
dmdiver Posted March 13, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Never noticed that before. We've taken spray sunscreen, shave cream & hair spray with no problems.
originalgeek Posted March 13, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Thanks everyone. I thought that was kind of an odd place to throw aerosol cans in. I was just making sure our sunscreen wasn't going to get confiscated so we all don't turn into lobsters lol. Just don't do what we did - we had our spray can of sun screen in a small, soft-side backpack while visiting Busch Gardens and at some point we sat down on a bench to rest. Plopped the backpack down next to me and leaned on it with my arm and inadvertently leaned on the top of the sunscreen. Unloaded sunscreen all over inside the backpack. Our wallets and all kinds of things were in there - it ate the magnetic strips off our credit cards and damaged a bunch of other stuff (drivers license!) - but none of it got sunburned! That spray sunscreen reeks havoc on nail polish too! Must be great for our skin! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
cruzinlisa Posted March 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 14, 2018 We have always brought on sunscreen with no issue.
cb at sea Posted March 14, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Remember, you still have to "rub in" the spray on stuff. Apply it in your cabin, before you hit the pool deck. The wind dispersed the spray and it's very bad to inhale!
dmdiver Posted March 14, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 14, 2018 The wind is exactly why we stopped buying spray on sunscreen. Plus, it just doesn't feel right.
