First Cruise EVER this week-end, how can we coomunicate with our teen girls on FOS

When the girls are out and about the ship (Freedom of the Seas),in the kids clubs, etc are there ways for us to reach them? Or can we use/ bring our mini Motorola 2 way radios?

Buy VOOM (internet) service for all the phones and use internet based texting and/or WiFi calling. Walkie talkies have not been reliable for us.

Or, much cheaper, have them physically check in with you at designated times. This actually worked just fine in the olden days pre-technology.

We were told the ship provides something for the kids/ parents for communication, but I cannot confirm this anywhere

Put a whiteboard on your door (and perhaps another in the room) and leave messages there. The small magnetic ones are cheap on Amazon.

Are you all in the same cabin? If not, you can leave messages on each other's phone letting each other know where you are or what time you'll be where. There are phones located all around the ship from which you can check messages on your cabin phone.
