sflinch Posted March 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2018 Hi Everyone, Been on several cruises, but this will be my first one, where pictures are through something called pixels, on the Magic. Does anyone know the cost of a 8 x 10 when purchasing on ship? Thanks in Advance.

sflinch Posted March 21, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted March 21, 2018 Thank you Georgie562! I think I will just pre-order the pixel package prior to boarding. The 16x20 seems to make it a pretty good value. From Carnival website...."choose up to 5 of your favorite photos for professional printing on-board, and one photo for a 16”x20” canvas portrait". rpyne Posted March 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2018 What resolution are the digital downloads?
joepeka Posted March 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2018 What resolution are the digital downloads? I can only go by what Windows tells me with regard to pixel dimensions: 3000x2400 (or the reverse if in portrait mode).

mdsgu Posted March 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 22, 2018 Pixels is expensive. My wife got them to shoot some "professional" family portraits on our Thanksgiving cruise. The shoot was free. Then they drug us in for the sales pitch. What they put in front of us was ok as far as quality, but they wanted $1200 for it -- a scrapbook, a coffee-table book, a gallery wrap, and a couple of prints! We bought three 8x10s and called it a day.
goofygal531 Posted March 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 22, 2018 On the Magic, we purchased one 8x10 photo, total came to $22. The new packages are definitely something to consider.
