We are thinking of just walking to a CLOSE restaurant off the ship in Nassau. Can anyone recommend something they know is super close to the ship?

McDonalds is really close.

I really enjoyed Lukka Kairi, it's on the Woodes Rogers Walk (aka, the front street outside the cruise terminal) down at the end near Senor Frogs.

We are looking for, Not McDonald's. Thanks. I said close, not cheap. To be more specific, I guess not a chain. It can be touristy, I don't care-but it can't be a far walk.

Also check out Sharkeez Bar and Grill, it is right across the street from the Port, we have not been yet but will check it next time we are in Port in May. They have a website and it looks pretty good.

I highly recommend Bahamian Cookin' -- delicious local food, easy walk from the ship. Conch fritters (yum!), etc. It's our go-to lunch place in Nassau; we were there just last month.

Yeah that was a joke although people do mention that McDonalds has free wifi there.

 

ETA = don't forget to have a photo id for adults to get back into the pier area as they do enforce it there.

Thanks all. Yes, we looked at Sharkeez too. I have trouble walking, so I don't want to venture far. (and then have to walk back!).

Thanks for the tip on IDs--we'll be sure to bring them with us .

There is a "newer" Senor Frogs directly across the street from the Cruise Terminal. Decent food good frozen drinks.

British Colonial Hilton is within walking distance and I am assuming they have a restaurant and bar.
