Mickey_Maniac Posted March 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I recently signed up for the RCI credit card to take advantage of the 10K bonus points offer. When I went to redeem the points for OBC, a couple of questions came to mind. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. 1) Whats the difference between individual and shared OBC? 2) In the conditions detail section it lists the following: Reward Redemptions expire one hundred and eighty (180) days from date of transaction. Does this mean I shouldn't redeem the points for OBC until I am within the 180 day timeframe?
MaiseyM Posted March 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Not sure about your 2nd question. If I were to interpret that, I would think it means that if you redeem points for something (i.e. excursion) that you have to use it w/in 180 days. You can't hold the excursion for a year. Clarea Posted March 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Shared means the OBC is split between the guests, individual means the OBC goes all to you. This is meaningless if both guests are sharing the same onboard account as the shared OBC will go to the primary guest anyhow.
Mickey_Maniac Posted March 29, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Thanks, I assumed the shared OBC was set up that way, but it's good to have confirmation.

molly361 Posted March 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 29, 2018 In the old days they issued you certificates and you had 180 days to redeem them. Sounds like they never updated their terms.

suesnake2002 Posted March 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Last time i cashed in for some obc, i probably did it 30 days out. It showed up in my cruise planner. And when I didn't use it prior to cruise it showed up as obc on cruise. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
