The 4th floor seems to have lots of entertainment venues tucked away. Funny, all day yesterday the DH kept asking "isn't there a casino on this ship?" We never came across it. That really surprises me. Don't they tend to be in high traffic areas? Not on this ship. You have to go looking for it for sure. Here's what I found on 4. b09ddd006f61d59cdcb6e5e09d3e50a4.jpg

This place seems to have a very cool vibe.

Another big score for RCI over NCL, these foot stools and reclining chairs on the balconies!!! It's a lovely day, sun is bright but the breeze is cool. I'm not a fan of the sun (really, the opposite is true, the sun doesn't like my skin, sadly). So sitting on the balcony, in the shade, with the cool breeze and sound of ocean waves, with my feet propped up, is just heavenly. d15445804ec208b80cc80525a823566e.jpg. Now if my drink package just worked for wine delivery...

Here's an insider tip for you. Margaritas at Sabor are just fab and I consider myself somewhat of a pro when it comes to a good margarita! We ordered the margarita off the menu thar included Grand Marnier, a personal favorite- the Sabor Grand. Except it was a pink color and a bit sweet. Good but not my favorite. While I'm waiting, I see a bartender making what I really wanted, a gold top shelf margarita. I asked about it and he explained it was not on the menu but every bartender knew it. Ok. You just ask for a "Gold" margarita. It's made with Patron Resposado gold and Grand Marnier. And it is delicious!!! Now you know too! 2aed4909e37314c90298eb14f80d63e4.jpg

Oh my. Makes that $40 tasting fee make sense. I don't know much (read anything!) about Italian reds. We're California wine drinkers so thought this would be fun. He was clear he only tastes nice wines. Next sea day is a Caymus tasting.

Here are the retail prices for drink packages. I got a deal buying in advance and with the sales. Paid $45 per day for deluxe and $18 for refreshment. Score! 771990ece57c62b3f3ea3c1a4937423f.jpg

Back at the Italian wine tasting class,

I'm finding I'm a white wine drinker!!! 94d9c03700cadea086dda5767463df14.jpg

Do not love the dry, high tannins reds. Clearly high end wines but a bit lost on me.

Thinking about taking out my upper cabinets and putting in refrigerated beauties like these to hold white wine!! I think I might be able to talk the DH into that...a10b06d0e2e08a73e6b7a165b6d7cf1c.jpg

Let us know how that Bertani is...runs around $120 a bottle usually.

Oh my. The first two almost hurt the tannins were so bad. But that 2007 Bertani was lovely! Tasted like a well aged cab. Outstanding.

Pre-cruise dinner - here's a public service announcement, I do not recommend this restaurant!!! We went to an old establishment, the Rustic Inn Crab House looking for seafood and a nice evening out. Wow, this was anything but!!! This place is the loudest restaurant I've never frequented. It's a cinder block, concrete floor, old building with paper on tables and each table is armed with wooden mallets for crab cracking. Except these mallets are also used for special event celebrating and entertaining your kids. Because of this, guests have to scream, yes scream to speak to one another. No food would be worth exposing myself to this ambiance again. I realize that's personal preference, but the food was expensive and just not that good. I sent back the greasiest conch fritters I've never encountered. Literally dripping. Wish I had a pic! Shrimp very good but nearly impossible to peel. I don't want to work that hard for

My food... you've been warned!!!

Rustic in is one of the greatest restaurants in Florida. I love showing Yankees how to eat Blue Crab.

Yes, Blue Crab takes work to enjoy. So do fresh peel and eat shrimp.

I appreciate that many folks like that place. It was a madhouse so clearly that is so! But, I want my peel and eat shrimp deveined. That splits the shell and is cleaner and easier to peel. Sorry, that should be a standard.
