Emerald through the canal

Looking at the April 2019 Emerald Cruise through the Panama Canal. Since the Emerald is larger than the Island, was wondering which set of locks it would use. Would it have to use the new locks, or would it still fit through the old locks?

New Locks. Emerald Princess would not fit in the Old Locks.

Only the Pacific, the Island and the Coral will fit thru the old locks. The Emerald will use the new locks.

Has to traverse the new locks as it is bigger than the old PANAMAX size that could use the original locks.

If you have never been through the canal, I would choose a ship that will go through the old locks. The new locks are not much to see. They work different than the old. There are only two of them. You can not see the old locks from the new. To experience the Canal you have to do the old locks.
