Read my review from last year. We had a corner balcony aft which was outstanding for watching the canal transit. On the other hand, the room was described by the customer service manager as being a known "noisy cabin." Rattles, not just vibration. Also, refrigerator problems (and it is not a refrigerator, according to the staff) and no hot water about a third of the cruise. (We used the showers in the spa.) I'd take the Island again but not the new cabins.

Thanks for posts, I will be following! I am looking at Island for possible Panama Canal in October. Do you find it crowded due to addition of cabins and do you miss having an International Cafe? Enjoy!
We have not been to any shows yet, but if we do they will be the late one 21:30 , any we have a set reservation in the Provence dining room at 19:30.....but no the ship does seem overly crowded. I will get some photos of the promanade hallways during the day which are always empty.

, I have felt the "rattles" in those corner suites, but I have had one in the middle....and it was great, no rattles, few vibrations, I would do it again in a heartbeat...

Any reports on the cabins? Do you happen to be in one of the newer ones?

We are in one of the older cabins , a minisuite starboard side aft, the cabin itself is a little tired but it does have the new mattress and 2 new flat sceen TV's which are mounted to the wall. As far as our cabin we picked it for the location, very little foot traffic passing by and it has a fully covered balcony.
