Tampa PIE airport

If the ship is scheduled to arrive in the port at Tampa at 7:00am, what is the earliest that you can make a flight out of PIE (assuming the ship arrival is NOT affected by fog!)

From the port to PIE is about 18-20 miles and, depending upon traffic will take you 30+ minutes from port to airport. Not sure about taxi or Uber fares? :confused: While the ship may arrive at 7:00, that does not mean you can get off then. Even with carrying your bags off I would not count on being off the ship and clear of customs/immigration before about 8-8:30; add on the travel time to PIE and any flight leaving after about 11:00 should be possible. After noon would be safer and less stressful.

to get from the port to PIE one must cross Tampa Bay. If talking a weekday the bridges that one would use, and primarily we're talking I-275 can be REAL bottlenecks with accidents and significant delays COMMON during morning (and evening) rush hours ...

Thanks for the replies! We would be returning on a Wednesday. I believe the flight is at approximately 12:30pm.

Keep in mind that airlines with limited flights are the only ones that fly in and out of there. Meaning if you miss your Allegiant Wednesday 1230 flight, you may not get on another flight until Friday.
