Crossing the Atlantic

Somewhat related, why are there no Transoceanic cruises listed through 2019 on the Azamara website? I was musing about one next fall, and see none at all.

We certainly do have Transoceanic voyages in 2019!

I apologize that none of them are showing up today :o

I expect the links will be corrected VERY soon.

Here are our transoceanic voyages in 2019:

Pursuit: 20 March RIO-LISBON, and 13 November LISBON-RIO

Journey: 21 April NY-LISBON and 10 November BARCELONA-MIA

Quest: 12 May TOKYO-SEWARD and 7 August SEWARD-TOKYO

We have crossed the Atlantic three times on Azamara and have never experienced a problem. Two crossings were in March/April and one in November. The roughest seas were encountered in the Northern Med on Quest in the area between Monaco and Barcelona were lots of plates fell and smashed in Windows.

Same experience - 4 transatlantic crossings wonderfully calm compared to Gulf de Lyon between Marseille and Barcelona where items fell off the bathroom shelves and the dressing table.

Don’t worry about transatlantic with Azamara, the ship manages well - have a great cruise.

Has anyone done an Atlantic crossing in either Azamara, Sea dream, Windstar, Silverseas, Seabourn or Viking Ocean. We love the smaller ships, but I was wondering how they handle out on the ocean.

Well they are not small they are big , not as big as the massive sea monsters but big crossed several times on other R ships and did not notice any different performance, between a 700 ft ship and a 1100 ft ship... It will be fine dont talk your self into problems that really wont exist on your cruise
