Disembarking in venice

cruise is due to start disembarking at 9 am. We are not in a hurry but would like to hire a car and looking for an idea of what time to book it for. Thanks

If due in at 9, I would not make a reservation before 11.

Why do you ask your question? I ask because if you want to hire a private car to take you to the airport for a 6PM flight,,,,,, that makes a difference.

 

You want to hire a private car to tour the mainland,,,,, that makes a difference.

 

You want to hire a private car to take you into Venice to your hotel or to tour Venice,,,,,,, that makes a HUGE difference.

The British version of Hire a car as in the American version of rent a car. LOL

By waiting a little while, you don’t have to search so hard for your luggage. It almost all gone by then.

If disembarkation does start at 9:00, and OP is carrying off their luggage, then 10:00 is reasonable. Otherwise I'd push it back a little further. They still have to get to the rental office after leaving the terminal. And that's assuming the office is in P. Roma. If the office is at the airport or in Mestre, then they need to allow much longer.
