CHEZMARYLOU Posted June 1, 2018 #301 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Hi No problem. We did luggage valet on the flight home and it worked great. Below are the forms we filled out This was delivered to us near the end of the cruise. It included the airline tags as well as special orange tags that said luggage valet. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Thanks, we would much rather had a non stop flight on South West but the time was either very early or very late. As long as United doesn't change our flight time before 11:30 we'll be good to go.

Noreen411 Posted June 1, 2018 Author #304 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea Happy Birthday to me!!!! Today is my 50th birthday. We went to the gym at 7am. Walter delivered our room service breakfast and set it up for us before we returned. It’s so nice how this is done. I had my usual yogurt/granola parfait. These are really good. I added some berries from our daily fruit bowl. I also had some honey dew which was very sweet. We had a basket of pastries. Scott ordered an omelet with a side of bacon and ham. Scott had hot cappuccino and I had iced cappuccino. We also had fresh squeezed orange juice. We are really getting spoiled with these room service breakfasts being delivered and set up for us. Noreen411 Posted June 1, 2018 Author #305 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued After getting ready and enjoying our breakfast we wandered around the ship. We walked through some of the shops. We also stopped so I could take a picture of the machine that you take pictures and email to yourself. Scott told me my birthday gift is going to be late. He wasn’t able to get what he wanted done in time. I’m guessing it’s something worth waiting for. He also told me he ordered roses to be delivered today but then he cancelled them. Since it was already Wednesday and we are going home in 2 days, there would not be much time to enjoy them. That makes sense and is a very logical way to think about it. I had Scott pose by this log since I think it’s interesting. We went to the Paella making class in Tuscan at 10:30. The chef was amusing as well as informative. Noreen411 Posted June 1, 2018 Author #306 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued We were invited to a Bridge tour then lunch in Blu with the senior officers. At 11:25 we met for the bridge tour. There were maybe 25 or so people there. This was very nice to be invited to. Noreen411 Posted June 1, 2018 Author #307 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued After the tour we went to Blu to have lunch with the Captain and the senior officers. When we first arrived, they had everyone pose in chairs set up for a picture but the photographer wasn’t there. After a little while, they gave up on the photographer and told everyone to take their seat. The table had place cards telling you where to sit. I was next to the Staff Captain on my right and Scott was to my left. The man next to Scott has been on this ship since September. He is staying on for the transatlantic back to Europe then doing a few more cruises. I think he’s spending some time in Europe. Then he’s doing the World Cruise on Cunard. I am very impressed. The photographer showed up and took a picture of everyone at the table. We received copies of these pictures I think the next day, but I’m putting it here. I have a picture of the whole picture, then I took a picture zooming in on our side of the table. Noreen411 Posted June 1, 2018 Author #308 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued There were appetizers on the table served family style: Greek salad, antipasto, burrata and tomato, and couscous. I felt funny taking a picture of the food on the table so didn’t get that, but you can sort of see it on the table pictures that the photographer took of everyone. I had no problem taking pictures of my own food once served. But I did try to do it discreetly. Red and white wine were flowing. I had a Sprite. The staff captain next to me had a Diet Coke. When everyone was toasting with their wine, we both held up our soda glasses. Everyone was served seafood risotto which was very good. The entrees were a choice of Lamb Chops, Beef Medallions, or Sea Bass. Scott and I both had the sea bass which was also very good. Dessert was 3 mini desserts. They weren’t listed on the menu (it just said trio surprise) but the left one was a chocolate Creme Brûlée, the middle was a mousse, and the right was a cheesecake. We enjoyed them all. All the women received roses. The staff captain received a rose which he gave to me. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Noreen411 Posted June 1, 2018 Author #309 Share Posted June 1, 2018 (edited) Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued When we walked back to our cabin after lunch, I saw a banner on the door. Instead of Happy Birthday, it said Happy Anniversary. We were chuckling at that. We opened the door and the cabin is decorated. A Happy Anniversary sign is strung across the living room. There is a container of confetti stuff to pop on the coffee table. The bedroom is decorated with kissing towel animal swans, a heart balloon, other balloons, and hearts hanging down the window. We are cracking up laughing at this point. It is decorated so nicely but for the wrong occasion. I guess we will have a funny story to tell about my birthday room decorations. CHEZMARYLOU Posted June 2, 2018 #310 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Sounds like Reflection does it up very nicely, even if they get the occasion wrong. Will have to see how they do it for my birthday. We had the bridge tour and lunch 3 times on Silhouette but not on Millennium. Enjoyed it each time.

Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #314 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued Poor Walter came running down the hallway and into the cabin hoping to get back before we did to fix it when he realized it was supposed to say Happy Birthday. The cake he brought said Happy Birthday. He was so apologetic and felt really bad that it wasn’t perfect. We told him that it’s fine. We told him it made my birthday story even better. We also received our Celebrity Tote bag that folds into a little separate carrying pouch. You can see it on the table. I also took a picture of it when it was unfolded and open. This was taken the next day in the midst of packing but I put it here since I was talking about the bag. We put the cake in the refrigerator and headed out. We ran into Rich and Eileen and told them about our bridge tour, lunch, and the cabin decorations. We went to the casino. We stopped to pick up our pictures from the photography area. We picked up our Welcome Aboard Photo (that I posted when I talked about boarding) and our Pirate Photo from Grand Cayman that I’ll post here since I forgot to post it when I was writing about Grand Cayman. We went back to the cabin around 4 and the banner was off the door. The inside living room banner was changed and now says Happy Birthday. The bedroom decorations stayed as they were. We showered and got changed for the evening. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #315 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued We had our photo shoot at 4:45. It was fun to do. We were in a little studio. The photographer had us do many different poses. The whole process was very quick. We were done in maybe 15 minutes. We will come back tomorrow afternoon to view the pictures. It is separate from the regular photographers that take pictures around the ship. Since we finished the photo shoot quicker than we expected, we went to the Sunset Bar. I had a Blue Hawaiian. Scott had his regular gin & tonic. we ran into a group of people that we’ve been running into and chatting with throughout the trip. Scott told them about our day and the cabin decorations. Some of them were really surprised that we took it in stride and were laughing about it. They said some people would be very upset about things like that. We’re easy going and pretty much always have fun. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #316 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued We had dinner at Tuscan Grille. We had a nice table along the window with a view of the wake. We had the same waiter from the first visit to Tuscan Grille (different from last night’s waiter). We have really been enjoying dinner at Tuscan Grille so I’m glad we changed my birthday dinner to come back here. Originally we were going to Murano for my birthday. Scott is humoring me by posing with the menus in all the restaurants. We both had Pellegrino. I had Sprite. Scott had Mer Soleil wine. We were brought a bread basket and dipping oil with fresh basil. Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #317 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued For my appetizer I ordered the pork belly. I didn’t like it. It was too fatty for me. Scott switched with me and gave me his appetizer. Scott ordered the crab cake which he gave me. It was very good. For my entree I had the filet mignon with a side of short rib pappardelle pasta. The filet was great. The pasta was good too. Sometimes short rib can be too fatty and I won’t enjoy it but this was not fatty at all. Scott had the Tuna Romanesco with a side of chicken parmigiana over spaghetti. He enjoyed his food also. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #318 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued We are really enjoying our meals at Tuscan Grille. We were brought the dessert menu. I had the Limoncello Cheese cake. This was the first dessert of the 3 different ones I have tried here (over 3 visits) that I liked. While I have really enjoyed the food, I have not chosen the right desserts here until tonight. Scott stuck with his Tiramisu and enjoyed it. Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #319 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued I tried some Limoncello that they make in house. This was way too strong for me. I liked the display they had about Limoncello at the entrance. They brought a birthday cake with a candle and sang Happy Birthday in Italian to me. They asked if we wanted the cake sent to our cabin since we had the other desserts. We said yes since there was no way we would have been able to eat it. Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #320 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued We walked around outside after that big meal and watched the sun set. I am taking pictures with my IPhone and they are coming out beautiful. It still doesn’t do it justice compared to seeing it in person. Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #321 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Wednesday 4/11/18 - At Sea - Continued We stopped back at the cabin for Scott to change since he got sauce on his shirt. While we were there he popped the confetti tube Walter left earlier. This was fun but OMG this made a huge mess of confetti all over the place. We ran into Sudesh (the cabin steward) and apologized for the mess since we are usually pretty neat. It’s funny since Scott told me earlier in the day when he ran into him, Sudesh mentioned to Scott that we are very neat. We offered to borrow his vacuum to clean up the confetti but he said he will take care of it. We told him not to worry about it tonight. Noreen411 Posted June 2, 2018 Author #322 Share Posted June 2, 2018 (edited) Wednesday 4/11/18 - at Sea - Continued We went to the 9pm show - Broken Strings. After the show we went to the casino. We were planning to go to the Liar’s Club Show but were having fun in the casino and ended up staying and playing instead. We stayed in the casino until they closed around 1am. Scott ordered room service when we got back to the cabin. He ordered a hot dog with fries. He also ordered chicken skewers. We continued watching the movie Horrible Bosses and finally saw the end. We hung out on the balcony for a while before going to bed. This was a great way to spend my 50th birthday. Because we’re away, it feels like we’re celebrating my birthday the whole trip.
