CulverCityCruisers Posted May 7, 2018 #83 Share Posted May 7, 2018 For Colon, Panama I booked a tour with Roberto Whitaker, who comes very highly recommended here on Cruise Critic and Trip Advisor. His tour really gave us a lot more insight to the Panama Canal. We spent a little over an hour at both the Agua Clara Locks (NEW) and the Miraflores Locks (OLD) plus a quick drive by of Panama City and The Casco area. It was raining so we didn’t do much here. I highly recommend Roberto for those stopping in Colon Sent from my iPhone using Forums Looks like the ship ran into something. Quite the "dent" on her hull

Rare ghstudio Posted May 9, 2018 #99 Share Posted May 9, 2018 some great pictures...some observations: The large dent on the side was not there when we docked in FLL just prior to the recent drydock. Given the size and location, it likely happened in dry dock and will likely be significant $'s to remove. The menu from the elite breakfast reminded me. You'll note that bloody mary's are on the breakfast menu but screwdrivers aren't....however at the elite cocktail hour, the menu includes screwdrivers but not bloody mary's. Does that really make sense to anyone??? (actually, every time I bring this up at the cocktail hour, they just laugh and give me a bloody mary). Finally, that picture of the row boat at the canal....yes, irrespective of all the modern technology available today, they still bring the lines that run from the railroad engines on the side of the canal to the ship on row boats....it's an eye opener. CRUISEBOY305 Posted May 9, 2018 Author #100 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Can you give us a rundown on the entertainment around the ship? Brilliant violinists last night in the Wine Bar. There’s always a singer at the back of Oceanview Cafe. She’s really good. Only attended two shows so far. Frankie Valli cover band which was excellent (and I’m not really a Frankie Valli fan). And a production show last night which was substandard. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
