ONE MORE WEEK to wait! I checked out the weather for Paris - looks pretty good! I’m planning on finalizing my packing this weekend. I need to keep my suitcase at 50lbs. That’s going to be difficult! The airline allows up to 70lbs but Tauck asks us to keep it under 50. Wish me luck!7e6ba08529b8d85cf65381ded60dd9ff.jpg

I feel your excitement! Nice packing job.

We love to pack light and we try to limit ourselves to one rollaboard each. It can be challenging, but it's so much nicer to not lug big suitcases around.

When do you leave?

The Tauck App went “Live” the other day. It’s really nice and easy to navigate! It has a count down clock (to the second) showing when the official trip begins, local time and weather, highlights places to see and dining options for each city we visit, and provides info on our itinerary. It also seems to have a chat room and message board that will go live once the trip begins. Nicely done! c0b4558d982d02659da87cd0038795c9.jpg3e3c5a178e9c02252098835477733c6f.jpgb79ee58899c860722a188f3a525dd9f1.jpg9a6271a080d7e1a4a1c09d45a08af7ce.jpg

Cool! Any insights or suggestions? It’s our first time to France.

We were just at Monet’s Gardens and Rouen a couple weeks ago on a Viking Ocean Cruise. Wonderful that Tauck is splitting these into 2 days; we did them in 1 day and it wasn’t enough time. Monet’s Gardens were in full bloom — it was like walking through an expressionist painting. Not to be missed!

Sounds like you’ll have a wonderful time!

ONE more day before we LEAVE for FRACE! Airline checkin in 15 hours! 639493fae5ed2fe4c8e827e8f36f0576.jpgMom flies into LAX tomorrow evening followed by a send off dinner at our favorite restaurant in Manhattan Beach - Nicks. Yum! It’s hard to believe it’s finally here!

Great! I’ll be posting pics so long as internet allows once onboard. I have T-Mobil which allows free data and texts so hopefully that will help too. All checked in for flight tomorrow! LAX airport is a MESS with all of the construction, so we plan to leave early.

Have a great trip! Yes, we flew through LAX in March and it was a mess. Good luck!

I can vouch for T-Mobile working pretty well in Europe. It's great to be able to actually use your phone abroad without worrying. The data will be a little slower than you're used to at home, but I was able to post and upload pictures from all sorts of places last year.

Make sure you don't spend too much time posting, and enjoy!

We had a great pre trip dinner at Nicks to say Bon Voyage to the family. Awesome food as always! We all had the Bistro Plate with soup, specialty salad and soup of the day. The filet was cooked to perfection! Asparagus fries to start. Nice bottle of Malbec wine too! All 10 out of 10 forks!bb8de566550894fa1b6ceb6b868b9a10.jpg3863d9e4da15e36631cfba0e1d99336e.jpga2f39e51956fdffc176ba4fa96d96fc0.jpgd05aa27ab817622d05487a6836f80b0f.jpg

RobertMartha- will do! I was sad when I could not find hardly ANY Tauck reviews so thought I’d give it a LIVE go. Our flight is 11 hours so it will be a while before I can post again. I’ll take some pics on the plane. We land at 11 AM Paris time or 2AM Pacific Time. That should be interesting....
