Let'sCruise Posted May 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2018 You are allowed to bring golf clubs on board the ship to Bermuda, correct?
whenwillitsnow Posted May 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2018 I have often though about bringing my clubs along to squeeze in a round while in port, but was never sure how it would work. Interested in hearing if anyone else has done this! OP, have you heard of a golf themed cruise before? There certainly must be one out there if there are "motorcycle cruises" where you pack your own bike! haha

Rare 1025cruise Posted May 5, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Just remember the space they will take up in your cabin.
sloperate Posted May 5, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 5, 2018 For the record, I have rented clubs, as a single digit handicap golfer, in Bermuda during a NCL cruise and found them to be more than adequate. With that experience in hand, I would never consider bringing my own clubs. Much more bother than benefit.
FranknBeans Posted May 5, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Any NCL (smaller ships) I've been on they have been stored very near to the disembarkment area.
Tyskie Posted May 5, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 5, 2018 We played golf while in Bermuda-rented their clubs (Port Royal-new clubs-very reasonable$) No reason to lug clubs- brought shoes & balls though. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
penwah2002 Posted May 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 6, 2018 We drive to port and we check our clubs, bringing them in June as well, just works for us.
ClemsonTiger96 Posted May 6, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 6, 2018 We are leaving next week for Bermuda and I was planning to bring my clubs, but was worried about space. Is there a closet I can store the clubs in, or possibly under the bed?
salzdt Posted May 7, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 7, 2018 We are going on June 8th cruise on the Dawn, Boston to Bermuda. I think we will rent clubs. Since we are not great golfers, may be better to rent:hearteyes:.

Is there a closet I can store the clubs in, or possibly under the bed? they should fit under the bed, since suitcases do. unless you have a gigantic, non-carry bag. what i really wish you could bring on board is a bicycle! xriva Posted May 8, 2018 #13 Share Posted May 8, 2018 The only issue with rental clubs is that when you throw one in the water hazard, you have to go get it back. Sent from my iPad using Forums

ultramax12 Posted May 15, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 15, 2018 I'm planning to bring mine on Escape in two weeks. I've read a few times the Port Royal rental clubs are beat, worn grips, older Taylormades if I remember. But I also live in NYS so I don't have to fly... We were there in 2013 & clubs were new - that was a while ago so all bets are off! If it's a RT & you don't mind carrying you're own -Go for it - easy to store in cabin Sent from my iPad using Forums
Carnac767 Posted May 16, 2018 #17 Share Posted May 16, 2018 Just call the Port Royal club and ask them about their current rental clubs. 441-234-0974. It’s a terrific course and a lot of fun to play.
morry2121 Posted May 17, 2018 #18 Share Posted May 17, 2018 We drove to the port in Boston and took our own clubs. We would not have taken them if we had been flying...we played at Port Royal. We stored them under the bed.
