I am trying to get away with just bringing a carry on for a 7 day Alaska cruise (7 days left!!). On the Emerald Princess is the laundry room a card swipe or do I need to bring quarters?

You buy tokens with your cruise card. On our Jan. cruise though, every token machine I tried was either out of tokens or not working. Finally my husband went down to guest services and bought tokens with his cruise card.

Bottom line--no quarters.

There is at least one token machine in each laundry room. We've not had trouble with them, but if you do--passenger services can handle it too.

Save money by bringing some pods in your luggage or other small container of detergent. Supplies cost $1.50 on the ship.
