xlxo Posted May 12, 2018 #51 Share Posted May 12, 2018 price.... an inside cabin is cheaper than a road trip when I add up hotels, gas, entertainment, and food! great new people to meet, especially in the dining room convenience... when you live near a major cruise port, there is no pre-cruise hotel and possibly no flights. ever changing views, while I hate sea days.... I love the port days. unlimited food better than camping or glamping!
getting older slowly Posted May 12, 2018 #52 Share Posted May 12, 2018 Why did we start cruising :- most of the family had been, and said you must go. We had only done 28 single nights on an overnight ferry trip (10hours)... the cabin would fit into s suite bathroom. So we took the plunge, first cruise was from our home port ( 20 minutes by car ) for 13 nights in a suite. What did we like ?... well everything... sea days, the suite, the food, the canapés, being unplugged from the world, wine, sea days. the ship, meeting people.. it was wonderful. After a few days into the cruise ,we realised we should do this again.... it is so relaxing.... Now just waiting for the next cruise and planning the one after Cheers Don ( not quite G&T time )
