What to eat and drink (piggy back on what not to eat and drink)....

Strawberry Bisque, bitter N blanc, Shrimp burrito, Sweet n sour shrimp.

Thank you!

Ok I lied when I said I wasn't picky. I guess I am picky when it comes to Chinese food. Its my least favorite kind of food so it has to be really good for me to like it. We live in CA and thus far there is only one place outside of Chinatown that gets our Chinese food business. :o

Fruit soups are my favorite. The Navy Bean is actually really good too. My husband likes the French onion.

The escargot is awesome. I have had it on three different cruise lines and Carnival is by far the best.

A different option is the BLT from the room service menu.

I will also second the carbonara, the banana cream pie and the crime brûlée.

Strawberry Bisque. All the cold soups are really good and so are all of the rare finds!

I totally agree - I found a recipe online for a strawberry bisque after my last cruise and made it for a wedding I was catering. It was a hit.

Also loved the chocolate melting cake and the creme brule.

My son is a big fan of the mac & cheese.

Breakfast - Blue Iguana breakfast burritos but you have to get the hash browns in them, The omelet station is one of my favs as well

Lunch- Guys Burgers and Fries are always good, as well as the Mongolian Wok

Dinner- Pasta Carbonara is DELICIOUS but is not always on the menu, Chicken bacon mac n cheese, Farfalle Pasta , Ceasar Salads

Desert - 24/7 soft serve ice cream, Warm Melting Cake

So what's the best foods at the Tandoor Indian place? I know they have one on the Breeze and I'm interested in trying it on our upcoming cruise. I've never eaten Indian food before so this will be...interesting. Like I know the menu has both Roti and Naan. What's the difference? I thought they were both flat breads?

We both enjoy Mac n cheese but wait for it....neither of us love bacon. I know, I know....Can we get it without bacon? Will we be kicked off the ship for asking? :')

I can see us frequently both those; especially me. Thanks!

Not liking bacon  I don't know if you can get it without, it doesn't hurt to ask.

We like it, just don't love it. I think it overpowers every dish its in. Now a BLT is great because its meant to be the main flavor. I know, we're weird. LOL.

I think the fruit soups sound delicious! We'll order our steaks rare.

If your ship has a Blue Iguana burrito bar on it then the taco salad is a must. The kind that comes in the edible tortilla shell bowl.

Pro tip...when ordering it just tell the attendant what you do NOT want on it and it will speed the process up for you and the 10 people behind you in line. You can choose from about 15 different items to be included in it and most people name what they want one at a time and the attendant slows down to add them one at at time. Always just ordered mine with everything except onions and within 30 seconds I was holding it to go sit down.

Hahaha! I am not worried about going hungry; I could live on tacos and burritos. More curious what everyone's favorites are. Plus with Cheers, I am going to drink the majority of my calories. ;)

I could live on them too. The best taco is the chicken taco, with cheese, pico, cilantro, and some other salsa/hot sauce. I could eat a bunch.

That's another reason I don't like Cheers. I would rather eat my calories.

I also am a big fan of the strawberry bisque. The broken egg sandwich in the MDR for breakfast is yummy. Love, love the tacos from blue iguana. the Smore’s parfait in the MDR for dessert is fantastic!

I loved every soup I tried: Cream of Broccoli, Tomato, French Onion, Potato Leek

I had a stuffed mushroom appetizer that was terrific. The burritos at Blue Iguana are so good. Worth the wait. The BBQ at Guy's was okay but definitely not worth a long wait. The burgers were very good and I really liked the french fries.

My favorite desserts were the Bitter n Blanc but it is an acquired taste, the chocolate melting cake and the S'mores parfait.

I tried many of the menu drinks and my favorite was the Carnival Cruiser. I kept coming back to it after trying the others. I also loved the Bloody Marys from the casino bar on the Magic. Just the right spice, they made my mornings.

I’ve had escargot once and enjoyed it. I’ll try it on the ship; thanks!!!

I have never tried the strawberry bisque, but after so many recommendations, my daughter would like me to ask where we can find this lovely dish!

It is an appetizer in the MDR for dinner. I think it has been on all my seven day cruises one night.

The carbonara does NOT have Alfredo sauce, don't worry. It is the correct sauce for carbonara.

This is good to know. I was thinking if it had Alfredo sauce then it would be spaghetti Alfredo not carbonara.

Is the soft serve vanilla or chocolate?

Yes, the Conquest has a Blue Iguana. Great tip on ordering too, thanks!

I think the MDR sounds better than the buffet for breakfast. I have seen a few photos of the buffet when its crowded; yikes!

Love a good Bloody Mary; is the casino bar included with Cheers?

Whats in the Carnival Cruiser?

I have to agree. On my last cruise a few weeks ago we ate breakfast or brunch depending on port or sea day in the MDR almost every day. A lot of people don’t realize that it’s even an option and free when they first cruise.

By the way on your question for the 24/7 soft serve. They have frozen yogurt and soft serve ice cream chocolate, vanilla, twist, and sometimes they alternate the vanilla with strawberry.

I’m not sure which ships do this but on the Vista they had homemade ice cream for free in the afternoon on the Lido deck. More specialty flavors vary by day.

The Hen ala Diovala at the Sea Day Brunch was incredible. Very flavorful, one of the best dishes I had on the cruise. Followed up with the banana cream pie for dessert. Absolutely incredible!

Pizza Pirate and the Tandoor are also must-dos.
