RC shuttle buses, advice please

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

We are on Navigator in June, calling at Copenhagen, Tallin, Oslo and other ports...

We did a similar cruise on the Brilliance a few years ago and did a lot of walking but now think a shuttle bus or similar would be best for us so wondered if RC offered a shuttle up towards the Tivoli Gardens etc and if so what the cost was please...had considered the HoHo bus but don't think we'd use it enough....

Realise each cruise is different and time changes prices but would appreciate any comments...

On the Brilliance cruise we did use the shuttle in Helsinki as we were a bit too far for walking there and it worked well...it's just...well getting lazy or older one of the two...maybe both ;)

Apologies if there is another forum or if this has been asked before...

Copenhagen has a Copenhagen Card that gives you access to all public transportation, canal boats, and many museum entries. Oslo has something similar. If you go into about 3 museums the card pays for itself. Talinn is about a 3 block walk to the main street but they did have a shuttle for about $2 last time we were there. The old town area is very steep and cobbled. Did see a tour bus up there but not a shuttle. Nice local craft market in alley across from flower sellers. We visited Copenhagen last year on Vision. There was a shuttle bus from the pier to the center of town (just the one stop). I believe it was 5 Euros round trip, also the hop on hop off bus stopped at the pier, it was expensive, about 50 Euros each if I remember correctly. Not sure if I remember those figures accurately, but I know that it was expensive enough that we changed or plans and just took the shuttle. We did a boat tour we found on our own in town, it was about 12 Euros and well worth it.

There are taxis outside the Copenhagen cruise terminal.

Tivoli is around 10 minutes away.

The shuttle for Tallin drops you near a couple of shops but is still a 10 minute walk to the medieval town centre.
