cruiselover19811981 Posted May 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2018 If we don't cancel, can we just not show up for our reservations? Once onboard, can we cancel via the stateroom tv screen/touch screen kiosks all over the ship? Or do we have to visit guest services to cancel? Moby0215 Posted May 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2018 Sure you can just not show up but that wouldn’t be nice to take up the space if you’re not going to be there. Not sure if you can cancel from the tv but it’s certainly very simple to just call or stop by the reservations desk. If you don't intend to use a reservation, please pick the phone (before cruise or onboard) and cancel your reservations. That way people who really want to dine or see a show can use the seats. There is no way to electronically cancel any reservations. You must call pre-cruise. On board, you can cancel shows by calling the box office or going there in person. On board, you can cancel dinner reservations by calling the reservations number (speed dial on your stateroom phone), talking with the restaurant reservation desk near guest services, or talking with any restaurant host (at the podiums at the entrance to restaurants). cruiselover19811981 Posted May 28, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted May 28, 2018 perfect - - - I will call and cancel should we not be able to make it - - - definitely don't feel right not showing up...to cancel show reservations, call box office? And for cancelling dinner reservations, just call the respective restaurant?
cruiselover19811981 Posted May 28, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted May 28, 2018 Thanks, Bird Travels - looks like we were typing at the same time. Saw your reply right after my last post. Appreciate your info. Never had to cancel in the past...just want to be safe on protocols, but also want to avoid standing in lines just to simply "cancel" if need be

If you are canceling a specialty restaurant within 24 hours, you will still be charged.
Indykitten Posted May 29, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2018 I really do wish NCL had a better system for managing reservations. It should be as easy to cancel as it is too book.

NCL's system seems to be manageable. However, they have to deal with all the so-called smart pax that double or triple book, then cancel because they can.
