Formal dining night?

First time cruising; What is the dining experience on Ruby Princess Alaska Cruise? Is there any formal night dinings? If so, what is acceptable dress attire for a formal night? Dress up is not our usual style.

Go to princess.com and download the Cruise Answer Book from the publications page. It will answer your questions plus many more. Number of formal evenings (applies to dining room only) on a seven day cruise is two.

There will be formal nights how many will vary by cruise length.

 

They don’t really enforce things much, for men a dark suit and tie, would normally have you in the majority, similar sort of thing for shielas, business attire.

 

Though plenty will be less dressed up and there will be a smattering if dinner suits.

Yes, the Cruise Answer Book will give the canned version of their dress policy, but you'll find it much more relaxed that that.

Most people will dress up, but more relaxed casual appearance is also acceptable.

A dress shirt (ie. guayabera) & pants for the guys even without a jacket or tie is OK, while the women can get by with a pair of dress slacks & any dressy top.

The choice is yours.
