Snorkel Excursion

Our last stop in Cozumel was back in 2012. We were able to walk off the ship and just outside the pier gates we were able to book a snorkel excursion. Are these operators still present? We are debating what to do while there and may want to do something without advanced planning.

It's easy to grab a taxi to the Money Bar, with good snorkeling from the shore. No real beach - you enter the water via steps. No admission fee, good facilities, lots of chairs & umbrellas, lockers, and good food, drinks, service. Taxi should be about $12 each way (fare covers up to 4 in the cab).

 

CozH2O, Eagle Ray and others offer good snorkeling tours. Good luck! :)

There are several vendors offering a variety of tours at the ports. I don’t recall specifics, but snorkeling excursions should be included in the offerings.

 

Another option is to grab a cab to either The Money Bar or Chankanaab (better if you have kids). Both have snorkeling from shore and rental equipment. Chankanab charges an entrance fee and has a sea lion show, dolphin swims, pool, etc.

 

Both have food and drinks. It’s about $ 11 each way for up to 4 via cab. No issues getting a cab back. Their websites have more details.
