forgotmyCCname Posted June 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2018 We received the following message for 3 days in a row- “Norwegian Cruise Line has important information regarding your June 6 sailing of Norwegian Epic from Civitavecchia. We have been informed of a planned strike of transportation workers on June 6th that will affect transportation in and around Rome. If you purchased airport transfers through Norwegian Cruise Line you will be met in the airport and transferred to the ship. Guests with independent transfer arrangements are encouraged to reconfirm those plans with the tour or transportation company you selected. We thank you for sailing with us and look forward to welcoming you aboard the beautiful Norwegian Epic.” According to the news articles I am reading, the strike was scheduled for Friday, June 8. Nobody that we have spoken to in Rome knows anything about this strike. We have a private transfer; hope our fellow passengers are not adversely affected. tallnthensome Posted June 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2018 There is a strike and a protest pretty much every day in Rome to the point of stupidity. Don't worry about. They were protesting there when we were there ten years ago.
