Cruise Card question

Would like to know if Majestic princess will punch a hole in the cruise card to go on to a lanyard. Did read that they no longer will do it because of the electronic chip in the card.

Cheers John.

Was on her 3rd leg of her Maiden Voyage and NO hole punched on our cards. Just off Grand and my card was punched and my wife's card was NOT. Who knows what's going on.

Yes, we were told this at reception on the first Majestic cruise. They sent us to the onboard shop where we were given a free clear plastic wallet to hold the card and clip onto our lanyard

Thank you Sandra, reason I asked was I used a plastic wallet on one one cruise and seriously I could not get the card out, it was as if it was glued in there, I ended up ripping the plastic. May have to end up getting one that is a much thicker plastic. Did you have to remove the Card from the plastic wallet to open your cabin door ? Thank you all other posters.

Thanks Sandra,

Looks like I will have to take my lanyard with a clip on it.

It will be the first cruise on a Royal class ship for many Austalians and New Zealanders this coming cruise season.
