Flight Time? - Flying from San Juan, staying in Royal Suite

Hi!

We will be on the Summit disembarking in San Juan, PR in December. I am about to book an 11:30 am flight out of San Juan back to NYC and I just wanted to make sure that flight time is ok? We have TSA pre-check.

We always do self-disembark, carrying our own luggage. We will be staying in a Royal Suite - will concierge help us disembark that morning? Or is there a certain process we need to follow? Any information or suggestions are appreciated. We will hire a private car to take us to the airport - is there a certain time you would suggest I ask them to pick us up?

Thank you for your help!

When we stayed in the RS, we could get off as early as we wanted (once ship had cleared customs). I can't recall if we went to Michael's or our butler made sure we got off -- but there was no problem.

Unless something unusual occurs that day, an 11:30 flight should be fine.

We have made earlier flights than that out of San Juan with no problem, even without suite priority and just taking a regular taxi to the airport.

Just remember that at San Juan you need to stop off and put your luggage through the agriculture inspection machine when you get to the airport.

Some people forget, and some get upset when they are sent back out to do it.

Unless there is an unusual issue, you should have no problem. We have disembarked twice in San Juan from a Sky Suite, both times we left Michaels Club and were escorted off the ship, picked up our luggage and then shown a separate customs line for suite guests. Whole process took about 5-10 minutes after we left the ship. First time we went to the airport and we were there by 9:00AM, second time we spent the day in Old San Juan and we were in our cab by 8:15AM. I wish the flights we take left that early, I'd book it in a heartbeat.

We walked off last time in SJU (pre hurricane) and made our 8:30am flight with plenty of time to spare! (well 1/2 hour anyway).

no checked bags and checked in online day before.

DON'T FORGET (unless changed recently and they should because the way it is done is TOTALLY worthless), first thing you do when you walk into the terminal is head DIRECTLY for the "Ag inspection" stations...do NOT go to ticket counter first...they will just tell you to go back.

Thank you! I've never heard of this! Good to know, thank you!
