bp traveler Posted June 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Is there a way on Royal to get cash in the casino without being charged a fee? I know you can on Carnival but was not sure on Royal as it is our first cruise with them. Thanks
awestover89 Posted June 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2018 You can cash one check per cruise at guest services, up to $200. I'm not 100% sure if there's a fee. You can use the ATM in the casino to get cash off your debit card; the fee will vary depending on your bank (i.e. some banks will refund any ATM fees you are charged, if your bank account does that then the ATM will be fee-free). Getting cash from your Seapass card will incur a 5% fee
Ken at the beach Posted June 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Set up your set sail account as a cash account. You will not be charged the 5% fee. On cruises of 7 days or longer you may charge up to $500 before being asked to pay down your account. On cruises 6 days or less you can charge up to $300. You can pay down your account with a credit or debit card when you reach the limit while still maintaining your cash account status.

MikeBTN Posted June 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Gamble enough to earn enough points where they won’t charge you a fee. Or try to get a large amount (maybe 2-3,000) and see if the host won’t waive the fee for you. Or just bring cash. If you can’t get around paying the fee, if you’re taking out more than $140, it’s WAY cheaper to use the ATM (fee was $6.95 on Anthem a couplee of weeks ago).
