You would need to give more info..what room? For a Haven 2 bedroom or deluxe owner's or owners..no..for a spa yes I would say most def. But again need more info..what level leaving..how much paid ..where going to etc

I had 5 I could bid on.  The H4 2 bedroom was a minimum bid of $1000.  I bid $1250.  I also bid on the H5, H6, H7 and H9 which all had a minimum bid of $500 and bid on $900 each.(These are all pp bids, so I guess it would be double that if we win)

*fingers crossed*

Your 1250 bid is tad low but if only 2 of u its totally unnecessary to have an H4. I'd higher my bids in other areas to assure haven rather then Have 2 people in a H4. It was huge (for ship standards) and prob unneeded for 2. 900 for H7 and H9. I bet you get if there is a lot of rooms left for your ship sail date. 900 per for a Spa room..I think that's really good..very good actually. I bet you get spa room for that if a lot left.

Thanks spacedaisy. That was a wonderful breakdown:) and wow it took 3000 almost for an Aft Haven after paying 5772 on cruise already. That's like 9000 gs. Wow. You go. That was an aggressive bid. You must have wanted it bad. I think you could have taken it for 1000 each.

You can go in line from a TA site like Cruise 411 and you can see exactly how many rooms are left in each category.  I take an inventory at the beginning and track it along the way. Haha. Then I kind of know how strong to make my bid and raise and lessen as I see fit...supply demand. Good luck. 900 each. I think you have a very strong chance at an H9 spa room. I want one of those next....and know you have me thinking cause of your very strong bid for the H9. And thanks for coming back everyone and you. Its much appreciated. I will do the same. I dont go out til March 31 st though. I got time

It was a very aggressive bid. We really wanted a separate bedroom. I talked with another guest on our sailing who bid 1500 from a Mini Suite to the Haven Aft and they did not get it. They only had 2 people and were Platinum. They ended up in a Haven Courtyard.

I Have a theory that our spending before we sailed nudged things in our favor. We still saved 1650 (with additional perks subtracted). I am officially out of the bidding game now. I was a little too obsessed. 😂

Absolutely. I love your aggressiveness. Wow 1500 and didnt get. Wow. I thought 1400 was the high side but I guess not. Good for you.  That's one room I havent been in. Scared to b too far from Haven but I heard the space was amazing and the deck and views, to die for. I hope it was for you. And out of the bid game..shocked.  The reason I say that is because I don't think that I can go back to being in the normal population with crazies around the pool and so little space. I mean I can have fun and the pool was like a frat house. Haven pool. Ahhhhhh.  🙂

You are right on. Maybe we need to start a NEW post that says "WINNING BIDDERS - what was your successful bid?"

Might generate some people to think it over and add their two cents... couldn't hurt. This thread has just gotten sooooo long and out of hand. Also looking for spa or courtyard Haven for 3/10 Getaway. Bid $700 on each, listed in low fair category. Last checked there was availability in those two categories, looked to be about 75% vacant in Haven sections.

Someone on my Jade roll call said they called after 80 days out and asked about bidding and they were told NCL doesn't often offer bidding on the Jade.  I find that hard to believe but I could be wrong.  Anyone hear anything like this before?  We're 72 days out and no one (that I know of) has received an email to bid.  Thanks for your insight.

There is a thread that tried to do that, but it didn't go very well...

Spacedaisy - nice try and I see how it got off on a tangent. I understand that different cruise dates could have different results depending on capacity. Maybe the best factor is the rating of your bid as POOR, FAIR, GOOD and where in that range you stood?

BTW, I was going to bid on an aft Haven suite but minimum was $750 and $1200 in the fair range. Wondered if you get the effects of being in the Haven class that far back on the ship. Those aft suites are HUGE with a great balcony. But we declined that one and the forward haven suites too.

Well--I tried! And Failed!

Bid to upgrade from Inside Cabin to Ocean View, Balcony, or Spa Balcony aboard the BreakAway sailing on Feb. 7, 2019.  All 3 bids did not win.  :classic_unsure:

For those tracking, here is my info.

Booked I2 Family Inside using a Casino at Sea Voucher for a Free Inside Cabin.

Bid $310 pp for Upgrade to Spa Balcony (bottom of Good)

Bid $155 pp for Upgrade to Balcony (Mid Fair)

Bid $75 pp for Ocean View (Low Fair)

Received my notification at 12:17 pm (with departure 2 days away.)

Ship has shown sold out except for Sail Away Insides for 2 days and before that was only very few Haven and Sail Away Mini Suites.

Would have loved the upgrades, but will enjoy spending the extra money we didn't spend on them.  Already paid for my Thermal Spa Pass and have always said we would try an inside someday since our past cruises have always been ocean view or balcony.

Will try the process again on our next cruise but I have driven myself (and everyone around me) crazy checking and rechecking.  Trying to get a bargain upgrade is not for the weak!!

Yes, that’s a great deal. You can get some pretty good prices on Haven suites on the Getaway right now. I’m just speculating, but I think a lot of people are booking the Bliss instead of the Getaway for their Caribbean cruise this year. Last couple years the Epic had great deals. Not so much this year.

I'm going from an inside I1 like you from a "free that cost 800 by the time all fees were added ...I  just realized we are starting from a $ 0 amount or so when bidding so raised my bids to high yellow for balcony and spa balcony also for the Breakaway. I keep going up higher then lowered some but the realization hit me that im starting low not sure if that knocks out casino insides or not? We will see...I'll post either way with my bids

Which sailing are you on?  Mine was 2/7 departure. I heard almost exactly 48 hours from my scheduled “report to check in” time. Good Luck on your bids!

Thanks Space and FPJ for letting us know about this thread and also ideas of how to better get the responses of those past winning or losing bids. Big help. Appreciate it

Thanks to all that came back to give us some insight into winning and losing bids. It's very helpful. And very much appreciated. I wonder if that 3rd party company reads these and has a "dummy" profile and drives the price up. Hmmm. Wonder who it is. Haha...on that note I think I need to raise my bids. Want to try the Haven Spa, or Fwd facing Penthouse. Minimum is 400. How much do I need to offer? Hmm
