Onboard booking.

has anyone recently made an onboard booking for a cruise in the future. Just wondering what Celebrity gives you, if anything, to entice you to book another cruise while on the ship.

Is it. Usually the same for every sailing in terms of the perks offered I know they usually offer reduced deposits. Do they often offer onboard credit for the sailing you are on, orfor the sailing you WILL BE ON.

Yup, I made a ton of bookings on board. To answer your queries:

- Yes, they have lower deposits per person than what you would have to pay on land

- They usually come with 1 perk / some On board credit

- You can choose to get this OBC on your current cruise, or on the cruise you book.

- Just keep in mind that they've changed the rules recently which allow you to make changes free of cost only in the first 30 days after booking. Post that you have to pay a $100 change fee per person.

Cheers!

Nick

March 2018 we booked a future cruise. Not an onboard perk as the 3 different packages are offered on Celebrity's website. The usual $100.00 P/P deposit. OBC for booking on board. Not sure if it was an option to use or not use it on the sailing we were on. Never asked as we wouldn't have anyway. When booking make sure to let the FC agent now whether or not you want the refundable or nonrefundable booking. We also received a bottle of wine (our choice of white or red) and a few other little doodads for booking on the first day of the cruise we were on. Not sure if that is/was a Equinox only thing.

September 2017 we booked on board for a cruise March 2019 (2cabins) We received 2 perks and an extra $150 on board credit and paid $100/person deposit. We booked it as a college graduation present for our daughter and her boyfriend. They also received the same perks. Originally they chose the internet package, but recently changed it to on board credit (so they can be changed) If for some reason WE would cancel they would lose their extra perks as well. We also transferred it to a travel agent once we came home from that cruise. We had never booked on board, but it worked out well! Will definitely do it again!

Meant to say we selected the Go Better package (2 perks). Not an onboard perk as the 3 different packages are offered on Celebrity's website...

while on the Eclipse last month we booked a 7 night cruise in Aqua and received:

- reduced deposit of $100pp

- choice of 1 additional perk (X was already offering 1perk for that cruise)

- $150. OBC applied to the future cruise

There was no option for a non-refundable deposit, not that we would have taken it. We had the reservation held by X rather than transfer to a TA as I anticipated that there would be July 4th sales offering additional goodies.

In the past week we transferred the booking to a TA and received an additional $350 refundable OBC.
