Insurance?

MSC does, but it's WAY more expensive than the 3rd party insurance. We used insuremytrip and found a much cheaper rate.

We always use 3rd party. The cruise lines are way too expensive and they are looking out for their own interest as well. We have made claims with AIG and Allianz with no issues.

And even if you have a credit card that includes trip and travel protection (like Chase Sapphire Reserve and Citi Prestige), be sure to buy medical insurance since most US policies don’t cover outside the US.

I have credit card coverage but still pay ~$50 for my husband and me for medical and evacuation coverage on a 14-day cruise. I find the best deal on squaremouth.com.
