I use Travel Guard and they have a place on their site to change/modify your plan. I just had to change mine due to a change in the cruise dates. You make the change and they review it to see if there is a change in the cost. I changed mine yesterday and received the confirmation and new policy today with no increase in the cost.

Your insurance doesn't care which dates you travel.

You'll have to call Carnival to see if the rate you booked can be switched to another cruise and to see the price.

It all depends on how you booked and no one here knows that.

Are you asking will the travel insurance pay for the difference in your travel plans or can you transfer the insurance. As I read my travel insurance policies (Travel Guard), it will only pay if the cruise is cancelled. My does pay if I have to cancel for work. As for a transfer, Travel Guard can be transferred to another cruise by completing an online form.
