Annie43 Posted August 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2018 I would love to purchase some donuts from Holy Donut before we leave on ur excursion while in Portland, Maine. Does anyone know the directions?
chengkp75 Posted August 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2018 Google maps is your friend, but here are the directions anyway. When you leave the pier, turn left, and proceed to Commercial Street, turn left on Commercial and walk to DeMillo's floating restaurant, then turn right onto Market St, go one block up Market, turn left on Fore St, go one block and turn right on Exchange. Holy Donuts is 7 Exchange St. About 1/2 mile. Get there early, 'cause when they sell out, they close up.
Ashland Posted August 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2018 And then it'll be easy to spot the end of the line ;p

chengkp75 Posted August 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Thank you for the information! Any recommendations on flavors? Flavors rotate daily, and not always available, but you can't go wrong with maple and bacon.
lynncarol Posted August 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Our gang of 5 was there in July and we each got a different kind, offering the others bites. Everyone agreed mine was the best: dark chocolate with sea salt. Maybe because it was a Sunday morning, but the line was really long! It took us a half hour to even get into the shop. chengkp75 Posted August 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Downtown store is almost always with a line up until sell out time. Park Ave location is a bit better, haven't been to Scarborough one yet (way out of the way). When you come back from your excursion, and are looking for a unique and quick lunch bite, try the Blue Rooster, where the specialty is a take on poutine, using tater tots instead of fries, and the "Three Little Pigs" version (bacon, sausage, pork belly) is outstanding. Ashland Posted August 2, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Flavors rotate daily, and not always available, but you can't go wrong with maple and bacon. Yummy and so was the glazed chocolate...but best not to have your heart set on something because that guy in front of you will probably get that last one. :(:loudcry:
