Expat Cruise Posted August 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2018 You cannot even have e-cigarettes. No one can have possession of, purchasing or using the e-cigarettes will face a fine of up to S$2,000. So anyone bring into the country would have bigger problems than just not being able to smoke for a few days.

edinburgher Posted August 4, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Singapore also does not have any duty free allowance for tobacco products, so any duty free they buy at their home airport (or any other packs they might have in their luggage) will be subject to either taxes or confiscation on arrival at Singapore. They can buy locally but no point in buying more than they need for a few days in Singapore anyway as Australia has a really tiny limit for tobacco products. They should read about duty-free allowances and banned products for both countries in their respective Customs pages.
Ashland Posted August 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2018 I guess what it comes down to is a possible change in plans and just get a connecting flight in Singapore or a completely different stop over country if vaping is something they can't do without. cruiserinsg Posted August 7, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 7, 2018 From your voice to their ears please I wish haha. Was an ex smoker for 40 years and my last cigarette was on the 22nd October 2018 onboard our first evening on the Mariner of the Seas in the Casino ;) Not easy to quit so I better not speak too soon. :D Singapore is now very strict with their smoking policy. All covered areas or walkways, near Hospitals, School etc, smoking is prohibited and if caught, you will be FINE. I had seen some being caught.
