SandyCam0423 Posted August 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2018 There will be 5 of us staying in a grand suite on Mariner of the Seas this coming October. I know that Grand Suite and above guests have a reserved area on the sun deck where there are loungers for them to us. This is a huge perk because finding a deck chair is always such a hassle if you get up later than 9 AM. Where is this area, and do you think 5 of us will be able to find loungers? And do you need to show your card each time you go to and from this area?

And when I was on Indy in February it was hard finding a spot there because the Pinnacles get to use it too. By the time I got out there, both sides were full. George C Posted August 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2018 There were always seats there all three times we were on sister ship navigator. A couple of times we saw non gold card people there so we complained to concierge.

parrotfeathers Posted August 4, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Not much in the way of any shaded areas..... Haven't ever understood why being out in the bald face sun burning up is considered by RCL to be a GS "perk."
Ashland Posted August 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2018 This "so called" seating perk area is something we would avoid...Stadium style, full sun with steep steps...no thanks.
