canceling dining package and/or drink package

I know that it has been stated here that you can purchase the drink package and cancel and repurchase if there is a price drop. If you buy the drink package or book a restaurant pre cruise and you have to cancel before final payment will those items purchased pre cruise be credited back as well? Also my mom 85 isn't in the best of health and I plan on purchasing private insurance. Would I be able to add the cost of the drink package and dining total to the amount of the trip. We are driving to port so I don't need to add airfare.

Yes, anything you purchase pre-cruise can be cancelled up to 3 days before the cruise. You don't need to insure pre-cruise purchases like dining and excursions because those are refunded if you cancel.

Yes, if you cancel the cruise (or are a no show) all those purchases plus taxes are refunded.
