cruising twosome Posted August 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2018 We have had an ocean view cabin for months because no accessible was available. We had our TA check the width of the cabin door to make sure my husband’s medical scooter could fit-it would. As you know Empress is the oldest and tiniest ship, cabins very small. But Cuba was on his bucket list, so we said OK. Yesterday I did a “fake” reservation and found that an accessible ocean view was a choice. Emailed my TA, and she informed me this AM it is now ours! Since it is the same category, no change in cost!!!!
wave2me Posted August 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2018 That's wonderful! Why didn't your TA have you wait-listed for a handicapped accessible cabin? It seems like that would have been something he or she might have done so you would not have had to be checking. Luckily you were and your diligence paid off! Have a great trip!
