Plastic Cruise Luggage Tags

I’m doing something wrong and need help. I purchased luggage tags for Celebrity. I’m trying to to figure out how to insert into plastic sleeve. They are much longer than the sleeve even with folding in half. How do you do it?

If you follow the fold lines they fit exactly. Might you have the wrong size sleeve? RCL and Celebrity sleeves work fine. But sleeves from another company might not?

I have the Celebrity type and I simply take the luggage tag and fold it and slip into the holder. The holder is larger than the pre-printed adhesive type but I just fold them with the adhesive intact and slide in. Never had a problem.

There are two different types of plastic cruise tag holders. Wider and shorter for lines owned by CCL such as HAL and Princess, longer and narrower for RCL owned lines such as Celebrity and Royal.

We have the plastic sleeves. For our cruise in Eastern Canada, we packed them away until we were ready to go to the port. Well, we could not find them. So we went to the port, showed a porter our cabin number, and he put little hand written tags on. We then went and checked in. Our bags were in the cabin when we arrived.

 

We're not going to try that again.
