Plat. going on Tender- still able to take 5 non-plats with them- no waiting?

It's not a posted benefit on Carnival's VIFP webpage, but the Platinum or Diamond flyer placed in your cabin at the beginning of the cruise says (or at least has historically said) that each Platinum or Diamond member can take up to 5 non-priority guests with them for priority tendering.

The "no waiting" part isn't necessarily true because you may still be waiting for a crew member to escort you down to Deck 0 or for the next tender to arrive and be ready to board.

Yup. Or as the other person said you could on their last cruise.

We had a unique group of four other couples scattered around our ages on the last cruise stopping at Half Moon Cay. We invited them to join us for a quick breakfast and then head down to the tender. They all loved it.

The tenders there are huge, and we were joined by everyone with a Group 1 and a bunch with 2 tender tickets.

The correct answer is maybe. It is not a listed benefit on Carnival's website and never has been. If the paper in your cabin says so, then you should be good to go. Even the defined perks are subject to change at any time, without notice.

Thanks to all the answers. This one clears it up for me.

That is good. But still not guaranteed. The entire program is subject to change with or without notice. Especially with the number of priority passengers increasing on every cruise.

It’s never changed in 12 platinum cruises. What else has changed without notice?

Subtle (and not so subtle) changes are continually happening. With or without notice. Number of cruises no longer counting toward loyalty status. Unlimited laundry becoming limited. Free slot entry becoming BOGO. The entire program could go poof.

Non-Plat tendering has never been a defined perk per the terms and conditions. A little surprised no one has gone running to JH to ask for clarification. Could they be afraid of the answer?
