Cigar cutter and torch lighter

Going on the Carnival Horizon on tuesday. Will they allow me to bring a cigar cutter and torch lighter onboard? Will not be flying. Tried last year on celebrity out of bayonne and they took the lighter from me. Thanks

Not sure of cutter, but definitely torch lighter. My husband had his expensive lighter taken while we were at seas. (they didn't see it when we boarded.) We did get it back from the cruise lines, "naughty room" when we departed the ship. Amazing what passengers think they are allowed to bring on board. In addition to our small lighter, there were ironing boards, irons, baseball bats ,etc.

I have brought both and have had no problems. I even bring butane to refill the torch lighter.

I bring both. I put them in my travel humidor in my checked luggage.

Haven’t been brave enough to bring butane. Last time my lighter ran out so I’m bringing three lighters this time.

I've never had mine taken away. However, I will not bring my expensive one anymore

My husband packed his torch lighter in his checked luggage in his humidor along with his cutter, and he was able to use it while on the Horizon. There were others on our sailing who had them in their carryon luggage and had them confiscated.

 

Try packing inexpensive ones in your checked luggage and cross your fingers

Have always had a small double bladed guillotine cutter and a small torch lighter in my travel humidor in my checked luggage. Have never had an issue on 5 cruises.

I only bring Bic lighters on a cruise, and a cigar cutter. No problem with either.

I have always taken my cutter and torch lighter on every cruise and have never had any trouble.
