Status Match question

We have a cruise booked on the Sinfonia in November. Since I am an AF veteran, I received a 5% discount when we booked. I was told about the status match. We cruise several different cruise lines, but we are not more than say second tier on most of them. What would I gain if I did this status match with MSC> Can I get an additional 5% off, or does the military discount negate that?

Not sure about double dipping on 5% but you could at least get some sort of perk as not a newbie cruiser. Just do it.

No double dipping for military and voyagers. But if you book a balcony or higher you get 10% off instead of 5% using the military discount.

I am a U.K. Cruiser with 2 prior cruises with NCL in past 12 months, can I ask for status match , is it worth it as at low level and how do I request status match? Have booked an MSC cruise for January 2019 and only paid deposit so far.
