geocruiser Posted September 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Do you thinkthat the work will be finished by the time it gets out of wet doc? I know anything can happen, but we are sailing her on 12/15. If I research my cruise better, I would have seen this before I booked. Now I am a little concerned. Might see if I can switch cruises. Astro Flyer Posted September 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Based on the email this person received, the wet dock will result in a “newly revitalized” ship such as adding their new beds. Never read about a 7-day dockyard maintenance resulting in any significant changes. So this could be required maintenance & touching up worn passenger areas of the ship before sailing around South America to the West Coast. I just received an email with the following statement from Princess:In just over 200 days,Royal Princess® will arrive on the west coast for her firstfull season based in Los Angeles. Following a multi-million dollar wet docktaking place later this year, guests can experience the newly revitalized ship, including the award-winning Princess Luxury Bed, on sailings to the MexicanRiviera, California Coast or our iconic Alaska Voyage to the Glaciers! Does anyone have any idea what changes/updates they are planning on making during the Wetdock?
