Hi all I am looking for some advice, I have travelled on the Crown Princess last year and we travelled mid ship, due to my daughter travel sickness. We are looking to book on the Sapphire Princess, they have offered us an aft cabin. Has anyone been there and can you feel the motion. It would be horrible to spend two weeks bobbing up and down

It also depends how high up you are, we cruised to the Baltics last year and were on deck 12 the very last inside cabin, there was not a lot of motion but the seas were not rough. You could take travel sick pills if you think it may be a problem.

Yes, aft you can definitely feel the motion and also vibration when coming into port. If this is a balcony, they may also be a soot and fume problem on the aft balcony along with no shade and no breeze. Choose another cabin instead. Anywhere between 25% aft and 75%aft is good. Lower has less motion than higher.
