VENICE taxis from airport

Does anyone know ihe fare by taxi from airport to cruise terminalin Venice? Are the cabs metered? We have taken the water taxi but want to go more directly and quickly this time.

We always book a service with a set price.

Last time it was only 3 of us in a Mercedes van for 70 euro right outside the terminal.

I had set it up in advance of the cruise.

We take the bus too, and then the PeopleMover mono rail to the terminal.

Last time we took the train from Milan to the Venice Santa Lucia station to board the ship.

We bypassed the people mover and walked to the ship.

When we went into Venice for the day/night we just walked back.

Now that was living large Pete!

We always have take the bus. So simple. $7.00 bucks a person if I remember. Takes very little time. Maybe 20 minutes. Easy peasy.

Getting back to the OP a regular taxi is about 45 Euros

We always take the express bus to Piazzale Roma and then make our way to the port via the People Mover. Cheap and easy on both counts. Or you can even walk over the bridge if you don't have a ton of luggage. About a 15 minute walk.
