Confused on Monkey/ sloth excursions...

We will be in Roatan in mid December on Carnival Miracle at Mahogany Bay, 8am-3pm. We definitely want to do a monkey and sloth excursion and snorkeling west bay (down by the wall??). We want to do a private tour, since we are a family of 4. Is Bodden's or Johnson's any closer to Mahogany Bay in order to minimize drive time. Both of those and Rony's look fine, just wondering about drive time. Any suggestions welcome... Thanks

We did Victor Bodden's tour three years ago and had such a wonderful time we are going to use his services again this coming November.

Daniel's is closer to Mahogany Bay, but in the opposite direction as West Bay. If you want to snorkel at West Bay, you will want to go to Victor's Monkey Business. It is 25-30 minutes from Mahogany Bay and then 15-20 minutes to West Bay. The drive time to West Bay can vary greatly. We were in Roatan in June for 8 days. The road was being paved and the wait times were long and huge pot holes made for a slow trip.

 

I highly recommend Rony. We've toured with him at least 8 times. He's fabulous!

Thanks #1 mom I was able to find it on google maps and that is what I was thinking. Does Rony's take you Boddens or should we just go thru Bodden?

Rony can absolutely take you to Bodden's. We've gone with him many times. Definitely book with Rony for a great day!!!

Go to Bodden's and hit it up first on the way out to West Bay Beach. We do that and it is always great. Will take a little longer to get to West Bay since the roads are a mess from the mudslides but they are repairing them.

Haven't been to Bodden's, but I did use Rony's tour to go to Daniel Johnson's and then to West Bay beach. It was do-able and we had a great time, but more time spent in commute.

We booked with Rony's tours last January and went to Daniels Sloth and Monkey hangout and a private beach.  We are hitting Roatan with the kids this time and plan on booking the same trip with Rony's.  We were really happy with them.
