atexsix Posted September 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2018 The Ruby Princess almost always leaves after the Eurodam but before the Bliss. And a vessel tracker app has a departure time for Eurodam as 518, a strange time, could they just be waiting for a late arriving pax?

That would be my guess and/or waiting for a mechanical part that's needed. It's a bit out of the ordinary, but not unheard of
Old As Dirt Mom Posted September 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2018 The Alaska season is winding down, and the ships of all the cruise lines are getting ready for their repositioning itineraries. All summer long, I've been able to follow the cruise ships as they sail past our home overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, knowing exactly which ships will pass on what day at approximately what time. Now they are dispersing throughout the west coast and the Pacific ocean, and every day's schedule is different.
towhee Posted September 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2018 Ruby Princess is heading south. Eurodam is heading north.

She's scheduled to enter dry-dock in Esquimalt (Victoria), BC on 30 Sep and will return to sea on 13 Oct

That's where Crystal Serenity got her final refit and upgrades before going to the Northwest Passage. Roy

Roy Victoria Shipyards Co, Ltd. was popular with HAL before (Amsterdam, Volendam, Zaandam, Ryndam, Statendam, Oosterdam all went there in the 2000s) Then Grand Bahama (owned by Carnival Corp) took over. Turn the clock forward to the present times and Esquimalt is being used more again by Carnival Corp ships who are on the west coast. HAL's Noordam is scheduled to go there next year
