Iceland tours

We will be in Iceland on Oct 3rd and are looking for a tour. The golden Circle tour looks like the one we would take. Do you have to book in advance or are there venders at the port with tours available.

It is very easy to drive yourself around Iceland - if you rent a car you can take it at your own pace and try to avoid the crowds a bit!

I would also advise hiring a car and driving yourself. There are hire car places right at the port.

 

But whether you do that or go on a tour, I would certainly recommend prebooking something. When we were there, people were trying to hire cars and there was nothing available. I didn’t see anyone offering yours either. If you turn up without having it booked then you run the risk of missing out or paying a lot more than you need to.

IG tours have a 2day option specifically for the Jade (which we have taken and quite a few others onboard) and a few 1 day options (Im presuming your on board the Jade for its TA) - see the roll call
